Julie Parker loves drawing and watercolor painting. When she was the size of a bean sprout, she used to draw a lot, but mostly wanted to be a pop-star (in a sparkly wig). After realizing that becoming a pop star required dancing more gracefully than a one-legged giraffe, she decided drawing would be a better career move. Julie completed her Fine Art Diploma before specializing in Illustration and gaining her Degree, Illustration BA Hons, from the prestigious Falmouth College of Arts in Cornwall UK. She then set out into the world to become an "arty-farty" person who travels and paints. While traveling, and working in orphanages around the world, Julie discovered art was more than a pretty picture, it was medicine for the soul. She began creating illustrations for books, online apps and opening art exhibitions. Her art is bursting with daft humor and silliness rendered in her own quirky and slightly odd style. Julie currently works in an England art studio and is continually inspired by her two small children. Julie drinks lots of chamomile tea, builds magic teepees, chases dragons and runs away from dinosaurs on a regular basis! She also sneaks downstairs in the middle of the night to eat double chocolate Oreos when everyone is asleep.
